Principal's Message
Welcome to our Great School I am privileged to be the school Principal of Tullimbar Public School with 15 years of teaching experience and 7 years of leadership experience in NSW public schools. Tullimbar Public School staff takes great pride in producing quality education programs for all children and encourage our students to strive for excellence. These learning programs are explicitly taught using a variety of strategies, ensuring all learning styles are catered for. At Tullimbar Public School the individual child's needs are extremely important and accommodations and modifications are made to ensure each students needs are met. We have a wonderful staff here at our school. I am very fortunate to have a staff that is extremely hard working, enthusiastic and talented. This includes the Teachers, School Administrative Support Staff (SASS), School Learning Support Officers (SLSO) along with other support staff. Like the staff, I have the expectation that each child will grow and succeed academically, socially and emotionally through learning that is flexible and evolves with children's understandings, values, feelings and motivations. Tullimbar Public School currently has 15 classes and 4 support classes catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 ensuring that our school can cater for students of all abilities. All classes are led by passionate and dedicated Teachers who are committed to building strong and resilient relationships with the Tullimbar community. The school boasts a variety of extra-curricular activities including choir, public speaking, Wakakirri and PSSA (Public Schools Sports Association) sports training. Students are regularly offered the opportunity to participate in enrichment activities in various key learning areas (KLAs) aiming to develop their social, emotional, creative and physical experiences. Parents, carers and grandparents are welcomed into the school for a variety of reasons: to assist in the classrooms, to watch assemblies and special events, to talk to and meet with staff or to be involved in the Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C). I take great pride in our public school and am sure that you will see many interesting and dynamic facets of all that encompasses Tullimbar Public School life, as you browse through our website.
